Head Chef
Stephen Moore

For more than 20 years, British-born chef Stephen Moore has cooked in some of the world’s best fine dining restaurants, hotels and resorts. His culinary career began in Perigord, France, followed by stints in Switzerland and London at the prestigious Hyde Park Hotel.

Stephen’s gastronomic skills were further honed in New Zealand and Australia, most notably at Sydney’s iconic Rockpool and two-hatted Bridgeroom, as well as Park Hyatt restaurants in Canberra, Melbourne and in Sydney for the 2000 Olympics.

After venturing overseas to work for the luxurious Aman resorts in New Delhi, and the 3 Michelin-star El can raco de Can Fabes in Barcelona, Stephen decided it was time for a change of scenery. Having been offered a role as Head Chef at Bali’s world-renowned KuDeTa Beach Club, Stephen settled into island life where he has spent the last 10 years living and working.

Following a role as Culinary Director for Asia Land at Sea, Steve has become co-owner and the executive chef for shelter group Indonesia. Where he currently works as the Head chef and now co-owner of the recently opened Shelter; a contemporary Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in Pererenan, West Bali.
